Love in the digital age! We met on Hinge, both in the midst of big life changes. Jessie, a recent college graduate, was navigating the "what's next?" phase, and Lucas, a former military man, was adjusting to civilian life. Our first date, well, wasn't exactly fireworks. But fate, or maybe just a persistent swipe right, intervened.

A year later, our paths crossed again (this time on Instagram!) and something clicked. Maybe it was the timing, maybe it was a new profile picture, but this time, the conversation flowed effortlessly. We bonded over shared dreams of adventure, a love of staying active, and an appreciation for Detroit's food scene.

The rest, as they say, is history. We navigated the challenges of the pandemic together, took a leap of faith and bought a house, and even became pawrents to two rescue pups.

Slow dancing in the kitchen, exploring national parks (we have a goal to visit as many as possible!), and hitting the gym together are just a few of our favorite ways to spend time. We can't wait to embark on this next chapter as husband and wife, with dreams of starting a family and maybe even adding a couple of four-legged friends of the equine variety to our growing menagerie.
